Everything's Bigger in....

For my birthday/Valentine's Day/President's Day (it was quite the festive weekend), I decided to head to Austin, Texas. My family lives there and it was also the site of the Austin Marathon/Half Marathon that weekend, and of course I had to run that. It was initially supposed to be fairly low key but when all of the cousins and family members got word of the trip and my (very spontaneous) friend Ashton decided to be my birthday present and come with me, it became quite the shindig. We had jam packed days of sight seeing, fun activities and food, including a night of going out with cousins and of course the race.

It was fantastic to be surrounded by family and friend :) for my birthday and for my race. Our lovely hostess, my aunt, was so accommodating and a great cook so it was a nice change from eating out every day. Hurrah for Texas!
