Pumpkinpalozza!

It's October which means the beginning of the holiday season in the Cralex Household (For those of you that do not know, my roommate/best friend/soulmate in disguise, Alex and I (Cristin+Alex=Cralex) are insane decorators and holiday planner extraordinaires)! So we started the season off with a pumpkin party!

We headed down to Half Moon Bay for the United States' biggest pumpkin festival. We had pumpkin pie and sweet potatoes and dragged my friends Ryan and Tiffany along with me. Tiff and I even got out faces painted :).

We picked out the healthiest pumpkins we could and high tailed it back to San Francisco. We made it just in time for Alex to make some delicious chili and I made fabulous apple cider, while I usually don't like but it was really delicious.

Everyone arrived and we began the carving. My scrapbooking buddy Nicole, brought her boyfriend Michael who carved his first pumpkin. He freehanded the San Francisco skyline and won first place! I monogrammed my pumpkin (courtesy of MarthaStewart.com) and loved it. (I also made my own apron for the party...the collection of that, the pumpkin carving, my cider, our decorating and the fact that I cut out cheese in the shape of bats, earned me the nickname Martha from here on out with my friends).

Our house smelled like cinammon spice for days and we had such a blast! I can't wait for the election party in a week!
